That’s why we’ve asked our qualifying teams from each region to answer a series of questions regarding Ramoness and more before the Final Day!

Q1. What does GaiTooSlaughter mean? 

Our names combined. 

(bigGAI / TOOmuch / SLAUGHTERroy) 

 

Q2. How did your teammates meet? 

First, TooMuch and Vero approached SlaughterRoy to play as a defender/tank role (Gladiator), but we later noticed that he switched mains to Raven. As disappointed as we were, we played a few matches together. It did not go so well. We kept losing matches one after another, but one day, Vero's niece accidentally threw her phone into an aquarium. She couldn't get a new phone before the deadline, so we had to try to find a new third. First, we approached Parnesse, but he already had a team that time, unfortunately. Then, while we were watching the community tournament, we noticed a person named "Biggai" on Twitch chat, and I was interested. Then one day, I decided to play some Normal Arena and got matched against biggai. So, I gave SlaughterRoy the idea to recruit biggai. 

  

A few days later, we tried to get into contact with biggai. SlaughterRoy sent a big letter to biggai for recruitment, and it took him 2 days to reply to SlaughterRoy’s messages. We got a response right before the deadline (biggai thought we were nobodies, which we were at the time, so he shunned us and tried to get a better option. But as a last resort, he just took our team's invite). Then we started practicing, and we knew we had a huge potential to win after beating higher CP teams that are pretty good at this game.  

  

And after that... we wound up winning the Ramoness Championship Season 2.

- Biggai: I will invest in a mic and better phone, because I have an iPhone 6. 

- SlaughterRoy: I'm probably going to put it into my tuition.

We're going to do it again. Win the BRC and become the 2x Champions.

From the Guild and by kidnapping them for Community Tourneys and PA Survey Tourneys.

- xLight: I would like to take this opportunity to thank GM Joel, Pearl Abyss, ROG, my teammates, and the participants for making all this happen. This Custom Ramoness is fun! Good luck to all the teams who are going for the Final Day. May we all have fun.

Q1. What does LSD mean? 

Simple... LSquared, Sylvannah, Diu... LSD =) 

 

Q2. How did your teammates meet? 

LSquared and I(Sylvannah) have been teammates playing Ramoness since February of 2020, and before the BRC Tournament, we picked up Diu as our 3rd through playing Ramoness matches in the evenings.   We talked to Diu about the tournament, and he was on board. So, we just began our journey of preparing ourselves for the tournament. 

 

Q3. What role does each member play in Ramoness?

LSquared is our freeze specialist providing CC support while providing in-game strats as the game unfolds before us. Diu and I are our DPS and mobile units, racing around the map and getting things done.  We work together in voice chat to discuss how we need to deal with various obstacles that arise. 

 

Q4. If you win, what will you use the prize money on? 

For myself, I plan on spending it on Christmas and the family - or maybe keep the USD funds for a future trip to the States.  

LSquared says he is planning on spending it on Christmas and family, but he also has to pay those bills... 

Diu says he is planning on spending it on Christmas and family as well. 

 

Q5. Any last words before the Final Day? 

It feels great being a part of this tournament and making it into the top 4 final teams.  We have a lot of great company here in the finals, and we wish everyone the best of luck. Just not enough to beat us! Haha.

Q1. What does Som & Etc mean? 

It means Som carries the others. 

 

Q2. How did your teammates meet? 

We met each other in the same guild. Strictly in a business relationship. 

 

Q3. What role does each member play in Ramoness?

- S0M: Spend on BDM or Girlfriend takes 50%.

- Sia: Wife takes away 100%.

- UnknownForce: Eat Chipotle.

[Europe] FairTrade

Q1. What does FairTrade mean? 

FairTrade was chosen because that's the first tournament where everyone is under fair circumstances. CP doesn't matter, level doesn't matter. All that matters is skill and team play. We play fair and trade fair. 

 

Q2. How did your teammates meet? 

I've met LaQuiica during the semi-finals of BDMWC-Ramones Season 2. He was played as Paladin in the enemy team, and they showed an amazing performance. Player1 and I’ve met many times during Ranked Arena PVP, so then we decided to chat though Discord, and that was the beginning of our good friendship.  

When my old Season 2 team left the game, both LaQuiica and Player1 invited me to create a team together and play always as a team. 

 

Q3. What role does each member play in Ramoness?

Our team name, FairTrade, answers this question. We all have the same roles and always try to do everything needed for victory. Yet there are some sort of mini-roles that we have. Player1 is mostly focused on orbs, LaQuiica plays safe, and I try to deal as much damage as I can to the enemy team. But as I said, these roles change many times depending on situation. 

 

Q4. If you win, what will you use the prize money on? 

It's Christmas, the best time for gifts! Our families will be happy. 

 

Q5. Any last words before the Final Day? 

We already won just to be able to play, and we’re grateful to Pearl Abyss for organizing this tournament and Asus: ROG for sponsoring it. We wish all the participants the best of luck, and most importantly: HAVE FUN GUYS!

Q1. What does PP-bois mean? 

It’s just a meme name, and we edited our message before to be meme-lords but guess you took PP-bois. But we like both names, and PP-bois was in the rumi tournament, which we won. It was fun. 

 

Q2. How did your teammates meet? 

In our guild, Knight and I saw Tagliaferri in Ramoness. He was good, and he was also in my guild, so I asked him to join us for the tournaments. He proved to be an amazing Striker. I’m happy with everyone’s performance. 

 

Q3. What role does each member play in Ramoness?

Make the game more balanced, more loot in game for F2P please, and keep up the tournaments! This is fun, and it’s good to see who the best players are with equal CP levels and just based on skill. It is awesome.

Q1. What does AHUUUUUUU mean? 

It is the Spartan Roar.

We met through our guild.

Draevia will spend his prize money on Pearl Abyss shares and a PC upgrade to play Crimson Desert, Soon™.

We hope we will get the Battlefield of the Sun soon for more PvP content and better drop rates for Eternal Armor! Haha.

Q1. What does Kriegsmesser mean? 

- SHOWMAKER: VK weapon. 

- Kipiler: Main weapon of Void Knight. 

- BLÖF: It doesn't mean anything actually, it's the sword of the VK class. The name is very charismatic. 

 

Q2. How did your teammates meet? 

- SHOWMAKER: I’m the founder of a guild, and I met with Kipiler when recruiting for my guild on the first day of soft launch. 

- Kipiler: At soft launch through server chat and guild. 

- BLÖF: We were fighting each other in enemy guilds, and we started talking because we were very good players. We got closer, our guilds disbanded, and we started to play together in a different guild. We have been playing together for 1 year. :D 

 

Q3. What role does each member play in Ramoness?

- SHOWMAKER: I’m the orb follower, BLÖF does carom, and Kipiler deals damage. 

- Kipiler: Showmaker keeps orbs, BLÖF makes carom, I deal damage. 

- BLÖF: Our duties are the same. We are now in a position to play Ramoness without communication. 

 

Q4. If you win, what will you use the prize money on? 

- SHOWMAKER: I will buy a PC. BLÖF is going to buy a gaming phone for 30v30, Kipiler is going to buy a PC too. 

- Kipiler: All of us will buy a gaming PC or a gaming phone. 

- BLÖF: Hmm... in order to play the game more comfortably, we’re thinking of buying a phone with better features (BLÖF and SHOWMAKER). Kipiler will get a new computer. If PvP content comes to the game and it satisfies us, we will consider spending some of the money on the game.

- Kipiler: Just fun for everyone. 

- BLÖF: Fun for all / as bayraklari as as as (Turkish memes) xD

[Asia] Queen's Gambit

Q1. What does Queen's Gambit mean? 

Queen's Gambit -- a popular chess opening and now a popular Netflix series. We decided to have a team name that is related to chess because we like to play very methodically and systematically. We also happen to call the highest scorer on the other team “The Rook” (because it looks like one on the map), and we say the enemy got checkmated when they run out of moves to win because we have removed all of their comeback mechanics. 

 

Q2. How did your teammates meet? 

We are all from the same guild, previously Veritas and now Aersternal. We just happen to like playing Ramoness casually, so when the BRC announcement came, we decided to form a team and take it much more seriously. 

 

Q3. What role does each member play in Ramoness?

Our gameplay is very teamplay-oriented. We always adjust our gameplay and strategy depending on the situation. We don't really have a set role assigned to each, but we have very specific callouts and a good system in our communication. That's all I can say for now! 

 

Q4. If you win, what will you use the prize money on? 

Juggerboy: I'll use it to buy a new gaming PC where I can stream games that I love, such as BDM! 

Aquar1an: For personal use, might buy a new personal laptop for streaming/investing. 

Bonhart: Find a new place to stay and buy gifts for my daughter this Christmas. 

 

Q5. Any last words before the Final Day? 

I wish the custom event mode would be the default in Ramoness matchmaking. It would allow more players, especially new ones, to enjoy Ramoness, and it would be much more competitive since the focus will be on strategy and mechanics because there will be no imbalance due to differences in CP. Anyway, I'm really glad to be a part of this tournament, and congratulations to everyone who participated, especially those who made it to the top 4!

Actually, this name is adapted from inwza007, a funny gaming name for Thais.

Wowza comes from “WOWWWWW!!!!” Like a surprise.

Q1. What does MeleeFTW mean? 

MeleeFTW - we decided to go with our team name mainly because of our lineup (GM, Berserker & Destroyer), which are all melee classes, and also to prove to everyone that our team is a championship-contender team even without the meta class AM. 

 

Q2. How did your teammates meet? 

Our guild (Dadbods-Calpheon Server) hosted an in-house Ramoness tournament and managed to build a team, which is a championship contender for the BRC.

Q1. What does your team name (J1Legends) mean? 

The shortest would be our guild's name combined; J1Pros (Me and Sailboats) + Legends (Blaze)

It's kinda cool together so we mixed them together

 

Q2. How did your teammates meet? 

We were talking on BDM's official discord and became friends. 

 

Q3. What role does each member play in Ramoness?
