Currently, Marni is requesting your aid from an unseen place
using a remote communication device.
So, I decided to personally investigate the places where Marni stayed,
hoping to uncover some news.
Turning west from Velia, I walked for a while
and reached my first destination, Marni's Lab.
Strange pipes were connected starting from the building entrance,
and I was greeted by his test subjects, which I had only heard about before.
The test subjects here, despite their appearance, were not a threat.
This place, being where Marni first dwelled, also looks quite old.
In the end, I left for the next destination without learning much of anything.
This time, I headed eastward and found myself in South Mediah.
There, I easily reached Marni's 2nd Lab.
Argh! Oh my!
I discovered green liquid exposed to the air without a lid.
The liquid itself glowed, casting a green light on its surroundings.
However, upon closer inspection, I found no trace of life.
As I uncovered more and more intriguing tidbits,
I felt compelled to venture deeper inside.
Eventually, I discovered an entrance leading underground between some buildings.
Could this be the underground lab only spoken of in rumors?
I was intrigued when I met Marni's talking assistant,
but I decided to venture deeper as holding a conversation with it was difficult.
However, there was nothing to be found in this dark and gloomy underground lab.
I pondered for a while as to where to go next.
While I could go to Tori Woods of the Mountain of Eternal Winter to meet Marni,
another location popped up in my head.
I encountered many pilgrims on their way to the oasis,
and at last, I reached my destination after crossing the Aakman border.
Here lies Marni's library, with its entrance cleverly concealed in a gap between the rocks,
making it quite a challenge to find.
As I ventured deep between the rocks, I found a place that literally screams of Marni.
Unlike the labs filled with just machines, this place is lined with various books.
I couldn't help but wonder how he carried out his experiments in the middle of the Great Desert.
Is that why people call him a great scientist?
While exploring the area, I found most of the items were far too old and worn to identify,
but I stumbled upon something that looked like it was left here recently.
This was the moment when my quest to follow his footsteps finally paid off.
It seemed like a message left by Marni.
Mysterious symbols and strange numbers...
What was Marni trying to say?
Maybe entering it somewhere will reveal a new clue?
