Featured Updates - Land of the Sherekhan
Land of the Sherekhan
Developer Commentary:
"Descendant of Edana...
can you hear the sound of the distorted space-time?
Before long, the slumbering dragon will awaken
and devour all of Duvencrune.
Will you answer the call of the Chenga Sherekhan
for the sake of Duvencrune?"
Drieghan is known as the land of dragons and home to the descendants of the Sherekhan. Adventurers who have sensed the anomalies occurring in Drieghan will embark on an adventure to old Drieghan, where the capital city Duvencrune has just been established, with the help of Chief Durgeff.
Duvencrune is where the sound of hammers can still be heard, and where evidence of the Great Battle between the dragon and the Sherekhan still remain. The place where the dragon landed has become a new threat to Drieghan, as groups seeking its power have flocked there.
Adventurers can learn "Succession Skills" in this area, which allows you to use skills of both Ascension and Awakening classes. You can also obtain [Charm of Succession] items that will increase the damage of Succession skills.
Centered around Duvencrune and located in the highlands are the Blood Wolf tribe known as the Kagtum, who serve Garmoth the Crimson Dragon, and the tombs of the five warriors Belcadas, Nybrica, Garud, Lateh, and Federik, who were all acknowledged by the Chenga Sherekhan. Sherekhan Necropolis is found in the Gervish Mountains, while the Tshira Ruins are cursed lands stained with the blood of the Black Dragon Markthanan, who was severely wounded by the Sherekhan. Finally there is the Land of the Sherekhan, where the giant bat Khalk threatens Adventurers. We hope you continue to enjoy your new adventures.

- You must complete the quest "Ready for the Past" from the newly added story "Legacy of the Sherekhan" to enter the Land of the Sherekhan.

Featured Updates - Succession Skill
Succession Skill
Developer Commentary:
Following the revelation of the Chenga Sherekhan, Adventurers exploring old Drieghan stumble upon a clue to a new power. This details the existence of "Succession," a state where one can share skills with another self, divided into Ascension and Awakening.
Succession skills allow you to select and use one of two skills that can showcase a new play style for your class and the extended Ascension/Awakening class.
We invite you to experience the thrill of combat firsthand, as we unfold the skills of other classes into new thrilling action unique to Black Desert Mobile.
- Succession Skills allow Awakening/Ascension classes to select and acquire one of two designated skills from the opposite class.
ㆍ E.g.) "[Ascension] Gladiator" can use "[Awakening] Berserker's" skill
ㆍ Classes that only have Ascension or Awakening can also use Succession Skills.
ㆍ Succession Skills are not affected by the Increase Branch Damage effect. However, you can enhance the damage through Enchantment stats of the Charm of Succession.
ㆍ Succession Skills are not affected by the opposite class' passive skills, and some factors such as skill damage have been adjusted.
ㆍ Effects such as "Super Armor" and "Forward Guard" that are applied while using the skill do not apply in the Arena.
ㆍ Skills where the "Invincibility" effect was applied are all changed to effects such as "Forward Guard," "Super Armor," and "Cannot be Grabbed."
- Succession skills can be used after completing the "Story - Legacy of the Sherekhan".
ㆍ When acquiring a skill, you will use a "Succession Skillbook."
ㆍ They can be purchased in the Pearl Shop by using 90 Black Pearls.
- Using a Succession Skillbook also allows you to change an already acquired Succession skill to another skill.
- You can view videos about the Succession Skill for each class on the official Black Desert Mobile YouTube channel.
Go to the official Black Desert Mobile YouTube channel.

Developer Commentary:
Winning in combat is an exciting and enjoyable experience. However, how you win and the process in getting there is an essential element of the fun. This is especially so in PvP, where assessing a situation and responding correctly against a number of opponents provides a thrill and a feeling of making a significant impact. In such a space, even if you lose there can be a sense of satisfaction in thinking that you may have lost, but you fought well.
However, there could be numerous situations where the outcome was decided as soon as the fight started due to CP differences. The feeling of powerlessness can creep in when you're left with zero recourse after being attacked. This could lead you to avoid PvP content altogether, and ultimately reduce the number of adventurers enjoying PvP content.
We've therefore made some adjustments regarding PvP content in this update, specifically to how damage is calculated. This should afford you more space to be more ambitious in PvP. While this won't entirely negate advantages stemming from CP differences, lower CP Adventurers should be able to hold out a bit longer and seize some opportunities. We anticipate this to facilitate new tactics and strategies to explore.
There are also changes regarding large-scale PvP battles. As it stands currently, using an area skill that attacks multiple characters at once would inflict the same damage to everyone, allowing you to quickly defeat multiple enemies.
Now, when an area skill hits multiple targets, damage is dispersed and varies depending on the distance between you and the enemy. Through these changes, we anticipate shifts in the importance of certain class characteristics, such as classes with grab skills and for stealth. We will continue to carefully monitor these changes and make any necessary changes."
