The Patch Notes for the update on Apr 5 (Tuesday) are here!
In this update, we’ve added new content, events, bug fixes, and overall improvements to the game.
See below for more details about this update.

■ Collection
- Content requirements have been added in the Collection menu so that Collections will unlock depending on adventure progress.
ㆍCollections that were already completed can also become locked if content requirements are not met, but the collection won't reset and obtained rewards won't disappear.
ㆍCollection categories that don't have content requirements can be accessed as soon as Collection content is available.

Developer's Comments:


After the Black Sun rose in the Great Desert, the development team has been constantly monitoring and analyzing the situation.
Based on this data, we plan to make some necessary improvements.

Some adventurers want to avoid battles in the Black Sun or be able to escape from battles.
While some classes can easily get out of battle due to the quality of their movement skills,
other classes may be forced to engage in unwanted battles.

We have added "Black Spirit Emergency Escape", a common skill for all classes,
So that anyone can avoid battles regardless of the quality of their own skills.

However, it's not a skill that can be overused. It should only be used strategically when it's really necessary to deal with a dangerous situation.

Next, we want to talk about rewards.
As you know, the Black Sun is a battlefield where fierce battles take place.
it was designed so that you will be rewarded for participating actively and contributing to the battle.

However, there was a situation in which there was not much difference in rewards even though there was a large difference in contribution in the battle with Laytenn.
Adventurers who largely contributed to the battle may consider it unfair, and it indeed does not fit with the purpose of this content.

In order to ensure that the results of the adventurers are as fair as possible,
When defeating Laytenn during Black Sun, the reward level according to contribution has been further subdivided and quantities have been modified.
We also added a rule that won't allow you to obtain rewards by resetting your contribution if you've been out of combat for a long time.

We hope this will make playing Black Sun more immersive.
From now on, we will continue to monitor the situation of the content and strive to ensure that adventurers continue to feel engaging gameplay.

 

■ Black Spirit Emergency Escape

- Black Spirit Emergency Escape skill has been added.
ㆍCan be obtained when Black Spirit achieves Lv 180.
- When using Black Spirit Emergency Escape skill, you can become the Black Spirit for a short time and move rapidly.
ㆍInvincibility will be applied upon use and Daze will apply when skill duration is over.
- Black Spirit Emergency Escape cannot be used when affected by a debuff (Stun, Daze, Knockback and others).
- Black Spirit Emergency Escape skill cooldown is 400 seconds.
- Black Spirit Emergency Escape can be used in normal field, Ancient Ruins, Great Desert/Black Sun, and Siege/Node War.
ㆍCannot be used in Normal Arena, Ranked Arena, Ramoness Arena, Battlefield of the Sun, Hero of Karkea and Atumach.

 

■ Black Sun
- Reward criteria has been subdivided and the amount of rewards have been changed to better reflect one's contribution when defeating Laytenn during Black Sun.
- Changed so that rewards cannot be obtained if you don't inflict damage on Laytenn for 30 seconds.
ㆍYou can obtain contribution when inflicting damage and 30 seconds have elapsed along with the previous damage.

 

Developer's Comments:


By improving the main skills of classes that have been underperforming when dealing with bosses in the last update,
we have improved them to a level where they perform comparably to other classes.

Afterwards, through internal analysis, we further improved classes that needed more tuning.
We've adjusted the damage and cooldown of key skills to make them perform better in battles with bosses.

▷ Will of the Wind
- Improved so that the skill can be immediately used during other skills. 

 

■ Gladiator

Developer's Comments:


Gladiator is an impenetrable bastion in the Arena, showing impressive performance.
However, it was difficult to say the same for his performance in RvR content, such as Battlefield of the Sun and Siege War.

Although it is natural for a shield-wielding class to excel at defensive capabilities, we found that Gladiator enjoyed a bit too much stability in battle.

Thus, we adjusted the uptime of Shield Block to tune down his defense in the Arena, and improved his kit so that he'll have a better time in RvR content.

We first removed the "Shield Recovery" effect from [Strong Principle], and added a "Damage taken from Adventurers" debuff to be applied to the enemies in front of him upon a successful block.

This will mitigate Gladiator's stability by reducing the frequency of his blocks, and will reward well-timed blocks even further with this new debuff that increases the damage output of both Gladiator and his allies.

Also, we added a rear Super Armor to [Shield Charge] in order to make it a more reliable way to approach enemies, and we improved Gladiator's offensive capabilities by reducing the cooldown time of [Scars of Dusk] on successful blocks and any skill activation.

We hope these changes will allow Gladiator to tank enemy attacks and aid allies in the frontline, leading battle as a reliable bulwark.

▷ Shield Charge
- Adjusted the attack range to match the skill FX.
- Added rear Super Armor on skill activation. (Does not apply to Arena)
- Improved so that a prolonged input will now make an additional attack, and updated description to reflect changes.

 

▷ Heavy Strike
- Skill PvE and PvP damage have been adjusted.

- Removed the buff [Shield Recovery] that was granted on every second use of the skill

- Enemies in front of the character will now have a "+10% Damage taken from Adventurers" effect applied to them for 15 seconds upon a successful Shield Block.
- [Scars of Dusk] cooldown time will decrease by 0.2 seconds upon skill use or successful Shield Block.

 

■ Sage

Developer's Comments:


We are keeping a close eye on Sage's performance in PvP content after recent balance updates.
We confirmed that Sage still has more average kills than deaths, and is vastly outperforming other class averages in regards to his win rate.

Sage is a class designed for devastating ranged attacks, but we understand that his damage values are currently much higher than we intended, thus we have decided to make these adjustments to his kit.

One of Sage's Passive Skills can reset the cooldown time of his invulnerable movement skill, granting him too much safety and overcompensating his weaknesses. Being able to make devastating attacks from a distance while also being able to then safely retreat at will is clearly not what we intended for Sage.

Thus, we changed his Passive Skill [Ancient Wisdom] so that it will no longer reset the cooldown time of [Wormhole].

When it comes to Class Balance Adjustments, we always consider multiple factors from various content, and we stay cautious not to disrupt the balance between other classes.

The Sage class is a relatively recent addition to our class pool, and is being loved by many Adventurers. That is why we wish to make adjustments in small, cautious steps.

- [Windwalker] Fixed the issue in which the "Super Armor" buffs of skills [Rupture] and [Flow: Open Sky] were not being applied.
- [Legatus] Fixed the issue in which the skill FX didn't match the actual attack range of [Thunderbird] when there were no targets nearby.
- [Legatus] Fixed the issue in which the buff "Penetrate" of skill [Eye of Ator] was not removing debuffs.
- [Reaper] Fixed the description of skills [Cartian's Wrath] and [Shards of Darkness (Additional Attack)] showing incorrect values.
- [Paladin] Fixed the description of skills [Celestial Spear] and [Flow: Divine Spear] showing incorrect values.
- [Sage/Legatus] Fixed the issue in which the character was being incorrectly rendered when equipped with the [Shudad] outfit.
- [Striker] Fixed the issue in which the class icon was not being shown.
- [Phantasma] Fixed the issue in which [Black Spirit's Rage] was only usable with at least 100 Magic Power.

 

■ Atumach
- Segmented the rewards for Rank 11 - Rank 30.


■ Siege War
- Increased the Move Speed, HP, and AP of Ogre.


■ World Boss
- Increased the HP of World Bosses Chaos Muraka and Tukar Laytenn.


■ Mission

Developer's Comments :


As of now, Adventurers can obtain Holy Vials of Light by completing Daily Bounty Missions.

But because Bounty Missions differ in rewards and objectives, some were only completed through participating in content with fixed timetables. It was inconvenient if a Bounty Mission required content that wasn't immediately available.

So we decided to remove Bounty Missions that required such content, and improved so that Adventurers can choose the Mission of their liking, all with objectives achievable within the day.

- Changed the following Bounty Missions that required the participation of time-restricted content.
ㆍPreviously: Participate in Normal Arena, Participate in Ramoness Arena, Participate in Ranked Arena
ㆍChanged to: Profit from Merchantry, Use Purified Water, Explore Constellation


■ Inventory
- Added an option to choose the desired grade of [Lightstone Chest] being used in "Open Chests → Settings → Auto-Craft Holy Vials of Light."
- Adjusted so that certain [Lightstone Chest] that previously was not eligible for Auto-Craft can now be used.
ㆍ[Abyssal Grade Lightstone Chest] that give maximum stats will not be included in Auto-Craft. 


■ System
- Added an option for AMD FSR in the lobby Graphics Settings.
- Replaced the images for Normal Arena and Hero of Karkea.

■ Item
- Changed so that Crystals and Non-Awakening Skillbooks will now drop in chests when defeating enemies in Elion.


■ Craft
- Improved so that Auto-Craft will craft items at a faster pace.


■ System
- Improved so that the default Auto-Enhancement target will be set to +1 of the Equipment's Enhancement instead of the maximum, in order to avoid unintentional enhancement.
E.g. When Auto-Enhancing a Chaos Main Weapon +2, the default target will be set to +3.
- Improved so that it will change to Standby when tapping on the party widget ready button and can be joined immediately, even without checking the Join Party pop-up.
- Improved the Party Request Cancel feature in Public Rooms.
ㆍIn Stages with a Rift, Adventurers who canceled will immediately leave the party, and those who accepted will wait for the response of other Adventurers.
ㆍIn Stages without a Rift, Adventurers who canceled will immediately leave the party, and those who accepted will return to standby.
- Improved the design of the Party Acceptance pop-up.
- Improved so that the direction of the cannon can be fine-tuned after mounting.

 

■ Merchantry
- Fixed the issue in which Merchantry Achievements were not achievable.


■ Item
- Fixed the issue in which locked Equipment was still usable in the following Menu.

- Fixed the issue in which Black Rock Shrine would sometimes not appear when a [Black Rock Shrine Summon Scroll] was used.


■ UI
- Adjusted so that the required amount of Silver will appear on the Extract and Transfer pop-up.
- Fixed the issue in which the information text for Alchemy Stone Auto-Enhance was incorrectly placed.
- Fixed the issue in which the unlock notifications were not being shown for the following Boss Rush.
